Mayor Mark Cholo I. Violago took his oath of office at Victory Coliseum San Rafael Government Center as the newly elected Municipal Mayor of San Rafael Bulacan on Friday, July 1, 2022.
The incoming mayor, Mark Cholo I. Violago is the son of the out-going three-term mayor, Cipriano D. Violago Jr. He took his oath before Third District Representative of Bulacan, Congresswoman Lorna C. Silverio.
San Rafael Vice Mayor Marilyn S. Veneracion was also sworn into office along with the eight newly-elected councilors of the Sangguniang Bayan. The councilors are Joel Veneracion, Gerardo Torres, Jaime Viceo V, Apriliza Sta. Maria, Edlin Indon, Nestor Vicho, Ana Maria Santos and Francisco Viola.
Mayor Cholo said in his inaugural address that he will focus on the agricultural sector of the municipality because it is the primary source of livelihood in the town. He also added that he will incorporate a new and modern technology for emergency situations and traffic control through building a command center monitoring the whole town 24/7.
Bulacan Vice Governor Alex C. Castro also attended the inauguration of the municipal officials along with Board Members Romeo Castro, Jr. Raul Mariano, Ramilito Capistrano, the municipal department heads, investors, municipal employees, police officials and representatives from other sectors.
